Internet service providers routinely advertise "up to" speeds (e.g. 500 Mbps, 1 Gbps), yet millions of consumers experience severe bandwidth throttling, hidden bufferbloat lag spikes, and degraded video streaming quality during evening hours. Because traditional speed tests only record a snapshot when a user manually clicks a button, ISPs can temporarily prioritize speed test servers while throttling general traffic.

SpeedWatch bridges this information asymmetry by providing continuous, automated network telemetry, real-time status bar monitoring, and legally documented SLA (Service Level Agreement) dispute certificates that hold telecommunication companies accountable.

Our Testing Methodology

SpeedWatch uses open, raw multi-connection socket streams directly against uncompressed CDN edge servers across North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

• Latency & Jitter (Ping): We measure continuous round-trip time (RTT) over multiple packet bursts, calculating minimum ping (best-case network latency) and jitter (packet delay variation).
• Download Speed: Multi-thread chunked HTTP streams saturate your connection pipe up to 10 Gbps, computing real-world application throughput rather than synthetic compressed bursts.
• Upload Speed: Encrypted binary payloads benchmark upstream capacity for remote work, cloud backups, and live broadcasting.
• Bufferbloat Diagnostics: We measure latency under active network saturation to detect queue bloat on home routers.

Privacy-First Architecture

SpeedWatch does not sell personal browsing histories, traffic logs, or user identities. All background network logs and SLA audit databases on the Android application reside 100% locally on your device in an encrypted SQLite database.
